Viola

Alongside Alex’s work for Manchester Baroque, he is principal viola in Manchester Camerata and enjoys freelancing around the north west, playing chamber and orchestral music.

During 7 years at the Royal Northern College of Music he studied with Nobuko Imai, Garth Knox and Petr Prause amongst others, and was also a member of the Zelkova String Quartet.

He spent 6 years as a member of the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra and now teaches viola at the RNCM.

In his free time Alex loves growing vegetables and walking with his family.
