Phantasticus

Enter the distinctive sound world of 17th Century Italy, in music for violins and theorbo, including works by Castello, Fontana, Uccellini, Gabrieli and Marini. These early composers for the violin contrast Monteverdi-like vocal lines with dazzling displays of violin virtuosity, with constant flits of mood and character. By popular demand, Paula Chateauneuf and her theorbo are back!
