Join us for a celebration of Bach, writing at his pinnacle powers of vocal composition, in what has become recognised as one of the most joyous pieces of Baroque music ever written. Composed towards the end of Bach’s life, and probably not performed during his lifetime, the B Minor Mass fuses multiple musical styles of the time. Scored for a large orchestra including three trumpets and timpani, the overall emotion is one of celebration and wonder.
