Manchester's Messiah

  • Manchester Cathedral Victoria Street Manchester, England, M3 United Kingdom (map)

Saturday 30th November is the day before the beginning of Advent and for many, a performance of Handel's Messiah is an esstential part of the pre-Christmas period.

In the first concert in what we intend to be a long term collaboration, Manchester Baroque in partnership with Manchester cathedral will perform Handel's Oratorio Messiah with a full orchestra and choir. Conductor: Christopher Stokes, Orchestral Leader: Pauline Nobes.

Like all Manchester Baroque concerts, this will be on orignal eighteenth century instruments or modern replicas, performed at the pitch and with the scale of ensemble that Handel might have recognised.

Tickets available via Eventbrite.

Tickets for concerts at St Ann’s Church are priced from £5 to £20 with discounts on some tickets for the over 65s, young people and the unwaged. Tickets for the performance of Handel’s Messiah at Manchester Cathedral are priced from £10 to £25.

Season Tickets covering all five concerts are available guaranteeing the best available seats for a discounted price of £92 by emailing manchesterbaroque@gmail.com.
